Boarding

Our Boarding Facility is staffed by trained Veterinary Technicians and Assistants as well as kennel attendants whose primary jobs are to care for the pets that are staying with us. Staff is at the hospital 7 days a week, 7:30- 6:30 Mon-Fri, 7:30 – 2:30 and 4:30-6 on Sat as well as 8 am and 5 pm on Sunday. (The length of time on Sunday depends on how many pets we have in our care on a particular Sunday.) We provide individual care for every animal boarded here, and we have cages and runs that can accommodate many sizes and types of animals, including exotics. Dogs are let out to go to the bathroom and exercise at least twice daily. Cats are boarded separately from the dogs in cat condos to provide a quiet and lower stress environment. Animals are fed twice daily. We feed iVet professional formula pet food in our boarding areas. If you would like to bring your own food, please bring an ample amount for the entire stay. (If your pet is on a specialty diet, such as grain free, limited ingredient or raw please bring your pets food with them. )  A  sudden change in diet can be very difficult on a pet’s digestive system. We don’t want them to have a tummy ache or other intestinal issues.

Personal items may be brought with your pet, however it is requested that you not bring anything expensive as sometimes pets damage items in a boarding setting. We are not responsible for the loss or damage of any items. During peak boarding times it is very difficult to keep track of 10 blue balls for 10 different dogs.  If you can put your name on it we would greatly appreciate it!

If your pet is on any type of medication or vitamin supplements, please supply an ample amount for the entire reservation. We will administer medications and supplements at no additional charge throughout your pet’s stay.

At our boarding facility we treat your pet as if it were one of our own. Should a problem arise in your absence, we will provide any necessary treatments to sustain your pet’s good health. We ask that you provide us with an “emergency number” where you will be staying and a cell phone number, so that we can contact you directly. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY EXPENSES OF EXTRA VETERINARY CARE.

General Boarding Requirements
All boarding dogs are required to be current on their vaccinations. Rabies and Distemper need to be current within one year, and Bordetella and fecal examination needs to be current within 6 months.

All boarding cats are required to be current on their vaccinations. Rabies and Feline Distemper need to be current within one year.

We accept Titer Levels as proof of vaccination as well. Titer testing is a wonderful alternative to vaccinations; please ask us for more information on this!

If the pet is not current on its vaccinations the Veterinarian will provide these along with a yearly exam when the pet is dropped off, and these services will be charged at pick up.
Your animal will be examined upon arrival at our facility for the presence of fleas. If fleas are found, a flea treatment will be applied at the owner’s expense. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a flea-free environment. This is for the health and comfort of all of our boarding pets.

Checking In and Checking Out
Prior to dropping off the animal, please contact us to schedule a boarding reservation to ensure there is a vacancy for your pet. If you cannot make you reservation, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance so we can fill the vacancy.
Animals can be dropped off or picked up during our regular business hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. We also offer special pick up and drop off times on Saturday evening as well as Sunday morning and Sunday evening. These times need to be pre- arranged when you are scheduling your pets boarding stay.

All pets should arrive on a leash or in a carrier. By doing this we can eliminate any unnecessary quarrels between pets.
